Title: Are fresh water tanks available new?
Post by: Autoarcheologist on January 30, 2017, 04:18:45 PM
We just came back from "Arvie's" maiden voyage with us to the Oregon coast.  Overall he did really well, but of course a number of small issues popped up.

We found a big crack at the top of the water tank on the corner next to the aisle.  We were getting mysterious water appearing between the cushion and seat base, and it turns out some water was splashing up through the crack.

I have seen a few threads about pulling and patching the tanks, but since its 37 years old and feeling a bit brittle I thought a replacement might be in order.

I know you can purchase rectangular tanks but I have never seen one with the corner cut like ours has.

If nobody has any ideas i will start researching and share what i find.

Thanks!
Ian

Thanks Joe, I have also done a bit of searching and it looks like a 30 or 33 gallon is as close to the original size as will fit without major modifications.  That should be plenty for a weekend, especially since we typically camp with hookups.

For reference for others, the tank measured 38.5" long, 21" wide and 13" tall from what I can measure while still installed.

There is also a cutout where the fresh water intake is, it's 10" x 4.5" x 3".

More as I get into it.

Thanks,
Ian
Title: A checklist for comparing loan terms
Post by: Williammep on September 12, 2026, 01:44:47 PM
For an installment loan, the repayment schedule is central to the comparison. Check the number of payments, their frequency, and the final due date. Read how interest and fees are included in the offer. Ask what happens if you repay early or miss a payment, and compare the total cost across the terms available to you.

Before applying for a consolidation loan, confirm which debts are eligible and how they would be paid. Ask whether the lender sends funds to creditors or to your account. Review the proposed payment schedule alongside your existing obligations. Keep track of the original accounts until you have confirmed the relevant balances are settled.

A useful personal loan comparison starts with the amount you need and the payment you can manage. Write down the APR, fees, repayment term, and total amount due for each offer. Check whether the quoted rate is fixed and whether an origination fee reduces the money deposited into your account. A lower monthly payment alone does not show which offer costs less overall.

A payday loan comparison should include the total amount due and what happens if it cannot be paid on time. Ask about the repayment authorization and any charges connected with an extension or missed payment. Read the agreement before accepting it. An online advertisement alone does not establish a lender's authorization or availability in your location.
